An Apple for the Teacher!
I found this awesome apple at the goodwill the other day for $1.99! It's glass on the bottom half and metal on top with a cute little brass stem that unscrews...that was very convenient!
Since I didn't have red spray paint, I settled for red craft paint. Did you know that craft paint doesn't stick well to metal? After I rubbed the red craft paint off, I decided it would be fun to do red glitter instead!
I just used modge pod and a foam brush to apply it! It worked perfect!!
I wanted to give the bottom part of the apple some red color, so I bought some Hot Tamales, wrapped it up in plastic wrap to protect the candy from the glitter, and tied it off with some tulle. Then I added the teacher's name in white vinyl.
I added a ribbon to the top on the stem and that's it!
Aren't we SO thankful for teachers!
I would be dreading the summer, except I have
60 things to keep us BUSY!!
