Ghost Poop Soup!

Made By Me Monday
(one of my favorites!)
Supplies needed:
cups/mugs
vinyl dots
ribbon
hot chocolate
marshmallows
tag
I found these adorable black cups at the thrift store this week. They were .69 cents each! I love the detail on the top! So, I bought up 6 of them!
My brain started working and thinking what I could do with them. And then, the thought came to me...  neighbor gift! So, I cut out some vinyl dots on my vinyl machine. I wanted to do colors other than orange. So, I've discovered that colors that are "okay" for Halloween are these...
We polka dotted the cups with our vinyl dots and added some cute matching ribbon to the handles.
You can find cute Halloween ribbon anywhere! :)
Add some hot chocolate mix.
add in some GHOST POOP marshmallows of course!
And that's what we call
Ghost Poop Soup!
I made 6 of these in less that 10 minutes!
EASY peasy!! You can find black mugs at any thrift store and cute Halloween ribbon at any craft store. This whole project was under $1.00 each.
Happy Monday!

a Made by Me Monday GIVEAWAY!

I am so excited to show you this adorable {ifIdosaysomyself}
Baby Sleeping Sign!
I have a friend who is just 3 weeks away from having her FIRST baby! I keep telling her that she doesn't know what she's in for... haha! One thing she will know for sure is Don't Wake the Sleeping Baby! I decided to make her this cute "please knock" sign to hang on her front door. So SUPER easy and waayyyy necessary to a new mom. :)
__________________________
I used a leftover piece of wood from our Super Saturday project. I already had tan craft paint on hand and since this new little bundle is going to be a girl, I definelty wanted this sign to be GIRLY!
I picked a piece of antique PINK scrapbook paper and cut it to fit perfectly on the front. I mod podged it on, sanded the edges a little and added a little bit of stain.
I then added some vinyl lettering to the front, this is a sure way to keep the UPS guy from ringing the bell! :)
Hot glue some ribbon to the back for a door hanger and done!
I love the way it turned out...but my son thinks differently! When my 10 year old son first saw this sign, he immediately said that this is NOT a good idea because I added the part underneath "you wake her, you take her!" What's so bad about that? He says "you are just giving permission to STRANGERS to come in and take their baby!" haha! I guess I never thought of it that way before!
Today I am giving away the vinyl lettering so you can make your own sign or stick this right on your door- to not just one, but FIVE lucky winners!
You can choose brown, black, beige or white lettering. And you can also choose to have the "you wake her/him, you take her/him!" on your sign or leave it off. I personally love it but obviously some people don't! ;)
To enter, all you have to do is leave me
 one comment on this post.
The winners will be announced on Friday, Sept. 23.
Happy Monday!

Hand-Stamped Spoon Necklace

{Made By Me Monday}
NapTime Crafters featured me a couple of weeks ago, but I just realized that I never posted the full tutorial here on Sassy Sites. So, I decided this would be today's
 "made by me"
... and my friend Rebecca!
________________________
My friend had on the CUTEST necklace the other day at church. When I asked her where she bought it, she said what I was hoping she'd say "I made it!" YAY!! I was so excited to make one. She graciously offered to come over the other day and we busted one of these fabulous hand-stamped necklaces in less than 30 minutes. They are super cute and really easy to do! And the best part about is, they hardly cost anything to make! I am going to share a step by step tutorial with you today to show you just how easy these are.
supplies needed:
spoons
hammer
pliers
steel wool
sharpie
sandpaper
letter stamping kit
and a friend! :)
step 1:
Hammer down your spoon to desired flatness. We figured out that the super cheap spoons are easier to get flat. These were found at Goodwill! :)
step 2:
Bend the handle of the spoon back and forth until it breaks off. Make sure to leave enough room to make a loop for your necklace to fit in.
step 3:
Sand the end of the broken handle to give it a smooth edge.
step 4:
Decide what you want to spell on your spoon, we love L-O-V-E. Then, take your sharpie and mark where you want your letters to go.
step 5:
Pound down your letters using your stamping kit, starting with the middle letter. This ensures that your letters will be lined up correctly.
step 6:
Take your sharpie and trace over each letter.
step 7:
Buff off access sharpie with steel wool, leaving the insides of the letters black. Then, bend your handle with the pliers, to make a loop for the chain.
step 8:
Make some extra little beads to go next to your spoon. These were easy to make, just using beads and charms.
step 9:
String everything onto your chain!
and VIOLA!!
super cute!!
