Shutter Christmas Card Holder

I decided to throw in a
Made By ME Monday today!
I saw this idea HERE, and decided that I could do it!

First of all, my sister was getting rid of a shutter a couple of weeks ago! YIPEE! It came to me brown...

I sprayed it white, stained it...

and ended up with a super cute Christmas card holder!
I love it!

(the cute families on the Christmas cards make it even cuter!!)

That's just a fantastic idea. Instead of tossing the old shutter, you converted it in something, not everybody has. Good Job!

Hint! If you're having troubles with your photos/cards slipping out of the shutters...line the back of the shutter with fabric batting! It's just kinda sticky enough for the cards/photos to kinda stick in place!

I love decorating my house for the holidays with items I already have. In this case I had plantation shutters in my basement and cards given to us. I will be making this for sure. Thanks.

What are the dimensions of these shutters? I love this idea to display Christmas cards in the corner of our living room!
